Pregnant woman delivers baby after being killed by train

A pregnant woman who was killed by a speeding train in Koundanpalayam, near Coimbatore, India while crossing the railway track, delivered a male baby after she was thrown off, police said.

The 36-year-old woman was crossing the track near Sanganur gate to answer nature's call in the morning, when the speeding Nilgiri Express rammed against her and threw her about 500 feet away from the track, police said.

Though the woman died on the spot, she delivered a male baby under the impact of the fall, police said.
