Several UFO sightings reported in Bushey in past month
Jackie Noise says she was “really freaked” when she and her husband spotted a UFO for the second night in a row floating above Pasture Close this week.
She filmed a still, bright, flashing light in the sky, at about 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 30, and says it was a “really strange” experience.
She said: “It was a ball of light travelling in a straight line. To the naked eye it appeared white, but when I zoomed in it was changing colours – red, white, blue, yellow.”
On Friday, June 11, two more sightings in Bushey were reported at www.uk-ufo.co.uk by an unnamed resident.
They said: “I could see three objects in a line formation. The upper one was shining with white light, the second and third objects were shining in red and were situated beneath the whitish one. For seven to ten minutes all the formation was stationary.
“Ten minutes before this sighting, my wife was observing a single, whitish, fast, dot-like object moving upwards. The movement was chaotic and without pattern.”
Ajay Devgan has a food phobia
Ajay Devgn has a bizarre fetish that is now bordering on an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
The actor cannot eat, rather will not eat anything with his hands. He insists on using a fork and a knife to eat just about everything on his plate; be it chicken, bhajjiyas or even a dosa!
It gets better. The actor, who played a rustic in his much acclaimed film Omkara would ask for a fork and a knife if you served him a roti smeared with ghee. His OCD stems from his utter disgust for smelly fingers.
Food, especially Indian, (imagine prawn curry) when eaten with the hands leave some amount of smell on the hands, no matter how wellscented the handwash is. And at restaurants, they dilute even that with water!
Ajay Devgn has a phobia of that reminiscent odour. According to a reliable source in the industry, on the sets of his films, he makes it a point to use a fork and a knife to eat almost everything. And he is paranoid about cleaning his hands even after using them. So much so, that he would even avoid shaking hands with a person who he knows has not used a knife and a fork; God help a woman with long nails!
If at a bar, Ajay would not touch the complimentary peanuts, firstly because they need to be picked with his fingers, and secondly, because they would be picked by multiple hands, if he were sharing a table.
Obviously, the actor is most comfortable eating at home, non-smelly food that is. So, what’s definitely off the menu is Bombil, anda bhurji, kadhai paneer amongst others.
When asked about the fetish, a disgruntled Ajay said, “How on earth do you get to know such things about me? It’s something so personal. But yes, I do admit I suffer from this phobia.” And what of idioms Ajay? How would you say, ‘They lived a hand to mouth life’?
French prosecutor seeks 30 years for cannibal
ROUEN, France — A French prosecutor is seeking a prison term of 30 years for a prisoner accused of killing his cellmate and eating part of his lung.
Prosecutor Elisabeth Pelsez says 39-year-old Nicolas Cocaign should get treatment in prison. She says she didn't request a life sentence, the maximum possible in France, because experts said he was mentally unstable.
Cocaign is charged with murder and acts of barbarism at the trial in the Normandy city of Rouen. Cocaign acknowledged responsibility for the 2007 killing in his testimony this week.
A medical examiner testified that the victim was still alive when Cocaign cut open his chest.
Man murdered and his head cemented to ground
AHMEDABAD: In a bizarre murder case, a 34-year-old man working as a manager in a city restaurant was allegedly bludgeoned to death and his head was cemented below a sink in a flat in Vejalpur area of the city.
Though police are working on various aspects, they are not ruling out financial angle coupled with homosexual relationship. According to Vejalpur police station officials, they received a message on Thursday morning about recovery of a body from a flat. They later identified it as that of Manish Gupta, a native of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
''The body was found in a fetal position, under the sink and his head was cemented properly with two bricks put on top of his head. The masonry work was completed by putting a tile on the top of the cemented head. The rest of the body was covered by a blanket,'' said M C Patel, inspector of Vejalpur police station.
According to the post-mortem report, Gupta's death was caused by an injury inflicted by a heavy, blunt weapon on the head.
Gupta was one of the three occupants of the flat. The other two were Ramesh Desai and Harisinh Rana, who worked at the same restaurant. The flat belongs to the restaurant owners, who often give it to members of the staff.
''They had worked together at restaurants in Goa, Mehsana and Ahmedabad. There could have been some financial problem as the three had monetary transactions earlier,'' said an investigating officer. Another angle under probe is homosexuality. ''The way the body was disposed of and the condition in which Gupta was found points towards something unusual,'' said the official.
